SUPER FUN BIRTHDAY VISIT W/ GRANDPA

We had so much fun with Grandpa! Grandpa flew out for Avee's First Birthday Weekend. We hung out the first day, Avee and Grandpa played all day. Then Avee's birthday party was the next day. Super fun, but seriously would not have happened or been as wonderful without Grandpa and Mandy Auntie's Help!! (Seriously THANK YOU a million times over!) The next day we hung out with Mandy and Layth. Then we went to Andrew's H2O Game. Sadly we had to take Grandpa to the airport after the game. The best present ever! Thank you grandpa!

Avee was so tuckered out at the end of the day, we read just a few books, he nursed and then I laid him in his crib wide awake and then something happened that never happened before!

He at first sat up and watch me leave the room, laid down and then went right to sleep without the slightest fuss! Can you believe that? He had a fabulous birthday!

WAKING UP ON HIS BIRTHDAY

AVRUMS IS ONE YEAR OLD

I keep hoping that if I blink again that I will be able to go back and do the last year again because it went to quickly. Every stage he grows into is my favorite stage. He is truly a gift from God and the light in our eyes.

He had a great last day as an infant. We woke up and had breakfast. Then we went to Music Together and saw a few of Avrum's friends. We went to lunch with Dada and Andrew. Then we hung out at Yaya and Baba's house the rest of the day. We went for a little walk while we were there, to a Harbor Park about a half mile away. Avee rode in the stroller then we played. On the way home he walked pushing the stroller the WHOLE way back (except crossing the streets of course, Mama carried him for that)! He walked a Half MILE!

He also had a few sips of chilled Organic Goats milk. He really liked it! So yea. I don't think he is ready to give up the booby yet. Maybe when he starts walking he will be ready to ween.

Avrum's new favorite word OPA! So cute that is all he will say today.

AVEE'S GROWING UP!

There is something new and exciting everyday!

• We know he can wave Bye-Bye but does not do so very often.
• He says Hi, Dada, Baba and Bana (for Bath) but only when he chooses to do so.
• He also says whole sentences of gibberish but you always know when it is a joke bacause he finishes by cracking himself up.
• He points at Mama's boobies when he gets hungry.
• He loves to feed himself solids.
• He has figured out that if he lays down on his tummy he can get closer to whatever he is trying to look at or get into his mouth.
• On Thursday his eighth tooth cut through.
• Two weeks ago he got a trim to tide him over till after his first birthday for his first big boy haircut from Cynthia Lurie (Georgeanne's Cousin.)

There is so much happening everyday. It is amazing!
