Avee checking himself out in the mirror and practicing his Baby sign. It was really funny cause he didn't realize I had the video on until the end. He does this every morning. Practicing different actions and facial expressions in the mirror. So Cute!

Avee saw Santa's presents from the top of the stairs and just fell apart with excitement. He was so excited that he started crying! It was pretty funny. I have never seen him so happy... All it took was an $11 plastic Stop Sign!

Grandma Marie gave Avrum his very first bike. He is not quite ready to sit on it yet but he likes to play with the bell and push it around! THANKS GRANDMA!!

Boy Names

We do not know Belly-Beans gender, it is still a mystery :-) We already picked a girls name and yes, you have to wait and see if Belly-Bean is a boy or a girl to find out our final names. We love our selections but have had mixed reviews on our boy names.

Here are the parameters, which must be followed:

First Name: Must begin with an A, Must shorten to a nickname (Please include the nickname in parentheses), Cannot be Andrew or Andreas or any variation. Must be unique, not common. Must fit with our family Alex, Andrew, Avrum .... etc.

First Middle Name: Lynn or Donald or another maternal family name (we used a paternal family name for Avrum's middle name)

Second Middle Name: Atwater

Last Name: Xagorarakis

Initials: A_AX - depends on selection of the first middle name.

Avee's Hard Day of Work

We have construction on our street. New sidewalks and a new street! We are super excited about this rehab project! We cannot wait to have sidewalks all the way down the street on both sides and no more potholes!! :-)

18 Weeks

Today we went to visit Dr. Grouse for our 18 week check up. Everything is prefect! I have gained 1 lb since our first visit 10 weeks ago. My belly is measuring 18cm, which is right on target. Belly-Beans heart is beating 147 per minutes - perfect! Avee was there and heard Belly-Bean, he held very still and look a little confused. Hahaha.

We have our anatonmy scan ultrasound December 30th and our 22 week appointment on January 19th.

It is 50/50 on finding out Belly-Beans gender so we added a few more days for voting. Also, we modified our Boy name options so vote again

We went to The Golden Dragon cause Mama was craving Soup and Fried Wantons. Yummy. The first time I saw Avrum really pretending not just driving a little car or pushing something. He has a little imagination :-) So cute! He was pretending to pour his sippy cup (which was empty) into a little tea cup and then drink it!

14 Weeks Prego

Well we went to the Dr. today and hear BB's heartbeat 150 beats/min. Yea nice and stong! In the last month I actually lost a pound but, the Dr. is not concerned. She did tell me to drink more water and eat more iron rich foods because I have left light-headed and dizzy this week. I go back in a month for my next appointment. We have an Anatomy Ultrasound at 18 weeks and an Heart Ultrasound at 22 weeks. NO, WE ARE NOT GOING TO FIND OUT THE SEX OF THE BABY, although they will be able to tell on the next ultasound. I have the AFP test anytime from 16-19 weeks. All is well in the Baby Factory!

12 Weeks Prego

Belly-Bean weighs about a full half-ounce and is about the size of a large plum - approximately 3" from crown to rump. Most systems are in place, though there is still plenty of maturing and growing. I have gained 5 lbs since August 12th and already went up a size from 3 to 5.

I am looking forward to a few weeks from now when BB is big enough so I can feel all the movement.

Dada and Andrew are being to helpfull and thoughtful. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family.

Almost Weaned

Avrum and I are working hard at weaning! We are down to one time a day and this week is the last week we are going to nurse. Next week he is going to be all done with the "mama ghala." So far the absolute hardest to cut out were the nighttime nursing. However, for the last month Avrum now sleeps through the night. I think that the last one is going to be the hardest. Nursing before bedtime. We had to do it one session at a time so it has taken months...! He is such a big boy now!

Now that I am starting to look Prego, I am taking stalk of the items we have, do not or need to be replaced.

We have tons of unisex clothes and blankets.

I am looking for a better breast pump as I am going to have two to worry about and not enough time for the slow one I have now.

One thing that I wish we spent good money on with Avrum was an exceptional rocker. We have a good one that we got as a hand-me-down that I love and had Alex finally bring upstairs about a year ago (he was hogging it to watch TV downstairs.) I would love to move it back down stairs and then get a reclining one for the bedroom. The one we have now tilts back but does not recline. I have found that a devoted nurser defiantly needs reclining.

The furniture we have for Avrum is too bulky for two kids in that room. So, probably this time next year when Belly-Bean is moving in we are going to have to get rid of the crib we have now for one that goes short ways up against the wall and a toddler bed that does the same.

10 Weeks Pregnant!

We are already a quarter of the way done! 30 weeks left. I had a Dr Appointment yesterday, which went wonderfully! Baby is perfect! Blood tests and ultrasound both perfect! I heard the baby’s heartbeat, such an amazing sound! 160 beats/minute.

Dr. Grouse says she cannot guarantee, but although my due date is May 19, she said that because I began to efface more than a month before Avrum's due date we should prepare for baby to be here at the beginning of May. If for some weird reason I go over my due date, we are inducing on May 25, Mama 30th and Grandpa's 70th birthday! She said it is highly unlikely.

Oh and if you are wondering what happened with photos, Andrew stole his camera back. I do not have one right now.

Baby in Week 10 of Pregnancy

Your baby (now the size of a prune) has small indentations on his legs (soon to be knees and ankles!), and his tiny arms even have elbows that bend (how is that for magical?). Inside that little mouth, tiny buds of baby teeth are forming under the gums. His stomach and kidneys are kicking into gear, producing digestive juices and urine, and if it's a boy, his testes are making testosterone (how manly!).

Although, I think it is a girl! We will not know until little one is born.

Baby is healthy! 1.5cm with a heartbeat of 160 beats/minute and just about 8 weeks.

First Prenatal Appointment

Alex, Avrum and I all went to the Dr Office for our Prenatal Visit...

It is recommended that I take baby aspirin because I had hypertension during Avrum's delivery. I do not agree with this one. Also, I am suppose to take a Calcium with Vitamin D3 supplement because Avee is still nursing, The Prenatal I am taking does not contain DHA supplement so I need another supplement for DHA.

It seems as though there are many Ultrasounds too. One during the 8th week, 16th week and 28th week. Depending on the testing we agree too, there could potentially be more. Seems excessive.
They need more information about Long QT Syndrome, which likely runs in our family.

Our next appointment is on October 20th

Avee finally learned to use a spoon.
